Now pitcher and Piano is my kind of bar- it has a nice social atmosphere-

Bar staff are friendly and charismatic. They have fantastic deals on alcoholic beverages, and have a selection of drinks if your not much of a drinker.                                                                                       If its your birthday or a special occasion the deals are even better. The door men were funnier than your typical door men, they don't just do they job at hand they are involved in the job.

MUSIC

The music was interesting unique and acquired to everyone's taste. They had some chart topper music hip hop funky, n soft rock.

The out lay of the place is not bad its cosy you have the dance floor which is opposite the bar with seats, on the side the you have the steps and you have another little lounge part which overlooks the dance floor, which is not to high up to make you feel like your not involved in the party scene.

The Pitcher and piano is a place I recommend the mood, the people seem to be very genuine/friendly.

P.S  it is a nice/amazing night out.

Featured ColumnistThis was the first Pitcher and Piano I had ever been to. I entered on a red carpet through large doors held open by friendly bouncers into a wall of heat and persons. The music was commercial pop, the decor exhibited red padded walls and although it appeared rather funky it was a little small. The clientell were trendy, so much so that the girls had ornage skin from fake tan and although there was no room to breath at 8pm there was massages being given in the middle of the room, which invitably meant elbow in your drinks and your party of five crammed into a smelly nook beside the long bar. The bar staff took a long time to serve although the drinks were excellent but a bit expensive at 5.50 each. Although it wasn't dark like many bars can be this was way too loud to hear yourself speak.Overall evening time is too late and although it may get a better mark in the day it gets a 4/10 at 9pm:

I popped in for a few drinks when down from Birmingham to visit a friend. I pretty much knew what to expect, it isn't like Pitcher and Piano's don't exist in the midlands. The Islington branch is set in a beautiful old building and the interior is fairly sympathetic to that, the atmosphere is very pleasant and although it soon filled up with guffaw-ing poseurs it didn't feel as if we were too out of our depth. I was shocked by the prices but think that these are pretty standard in London aren't they? Even if not I know P&P is expensive back home.
